Girls, Girls, Girls.

I have to dedicate a post to the wonderful Christopher Owens.  He is the lead guitarist and vocalist in the band Girls.  Although I was only(really) introduced to them about a month ago, I would say I'm a pretty big fan.  I can't stop listening to their music/watching videos of the fantastic Mr. Owens.  His voice is so intoxicatingly rich and unique.  He seems like such a real person.  He also reminds me a bit of Kurt Cobain, so I automatically loved him.

Yah see what I mean?!  I saw Girls in concert about a month ago, and they were outstanding.  Owens walked out on stage with high-waisted red corduroy pants, a San Francisco tourist t-shirt, and white Doc Martens.  Looking at pictures, I've realized his style is more than fabulous!

His guitar and voice were entrancing throughout the entire show and my friends and I even got to meet him afterwards.  The only thing that made me sad was his sunken in face and his inability to show all that much emotion.  It's not just me either..my friends and I were so sad that he looked so drugged.  One of my friends ever said "I just want to kidnap him, take him into the forest for three months, and feed him nothing but hearty fruits and vegetables!".

I was looking at photos/videos of Owens from just a year ago and I can't believe how good he looked.  He could actually talk, and didn't look so blank all the time.  He's such a talented soul, and it would just kill me to see him throw his life away.  So if you're reading this Christopher Owens, please stop all of your drug use!

On a different note, I'm going to San Fran tomorrow!  I'll just keep listening to Girls to get even more stoked.  By the way..I'll be on the lookout for you Chris.  In the meantime, grace yourself with my favorite song:

Easter Pastels

Shirt and shorts: Forever 21
Glasses: H&M

Here's to a Easter full of chocolate and jelly beans!  I'm not usually into the whole "pastel" look, but today I had to do it.  I do love them at times, but I can't go full on girly.  To "edge" the look up a bit, I threw my black studded boots on.  I really do need another pair, I wear these ones in virtually every other outfit I put on the damn Internet.

This Easter has been a pretty eventful one.  It's my grandparents' 50th anniversary, and the whole family is here.  My extended family gets way too unbearable for me.  They talk too much and are pessimistic about virtually everything.  To deal with all the hubbub, I adventure with my step-dad.  Yesterday, we found a rad book shop and I (finally) started reading The Hunger Games.  Everyone is right, this book is like crack.  I cannot stop reading it!  I guess this Easter has been alright although I have never understood what a reptilian bunny has to do with the resurrection of Jesus.  If you have any idea, please inform me.

I hope y'all had a fantastic Easter filled with chocolate and Easter eggs and not too much family drama.

P.S. I'm going to San Francisco in a couple days.  I'm so excited and just can't stop listening to Christopher Owens' beautiful voice!

Apologies & a New Outfit

Hello all!  I'm so sorry I haven't posted for over a week.  I feel so bad, because I don't have any exciting excuses.  Here they are:
1. It's the end of the quarter so I have loads of homework.
2. I wasn't in a place with Internet for the weekend.
3. I haven't had a computer for a while.
I know, pathetic.  Anyway, I have some "exciting" things to tell y'all.  Over the weekend, I went to a place which was 75˚, it was fantastic.  I spent the weekend with my parents and my friend's parents.  Nope, no friend...just parents.  I didn't mind though.  I find adults almost easier to talk to than most kids.  During my little vacay(ew, awful word) I took a multitude of pictures.  The beauty of our world just astounds me.
So there ya have it!  Beauty is everywhere.  Oh, I also started reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower.  READ IT.  I can't stop reading, it's so marvelous.

I almost forgot!  Here is my "newest" outfit.
Shirt: Old Navy
Shorts: Macy's
Shoes: Urban Outfitters

Goodnight all!

A Winter Slit

My new maxi!!
Jacket: Thrifted
Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Skirt: Macy's
Boots: Nordstrom

I got this skirt a week or so ago and I couldn't wait to wear it!  It has been way to cold to do so, so I wore it just the other day...it was 55˚ outside!   Anyway, this skirt is so cool and soooo versatile.  I can even wear it as a dress.  But I am warning you...DON'T WEAR A SKIRT LIKE THIS WHEN IT'S WINDY OUTSIDE.  The slit in the middle isn't sewed together at all so I bet you can imagine what happens.  Yes, I learned the hard way.

I just had to make one...

These pant = heaven.  I got them at Target for 15ish dollars.  They are literally the best.  Plus, I feel like a gypsy when I wear them!  I can't wait until it gets warmer so I can put together a more summer-y outfit.  On a different note...bring on the followers!! Hahaha let's go(;
