All Zipped Up

All pictures take by Adam!  They were taken atop a dilapidated water tower.  Not too safe I must presume...

Shirt & booties: Thrifted
Velvet skirt: Secondhand

I always get laughed at when I wear this shirt because people say, "Hey Quinn, that's some pretty easy access,".  And I say back to them, "Hey now! This is an industrial zipper, there ain't nothing easy about it,".  It's one of my favorite shirts, and the added zipper makes it all that much better.  I would have to say industrial zippers are one of my favorite ways to unique-ify a piece.

I am completely obsessed with this skirt! As I was scuffling around my mama's closet, I stumbled upon this beauty.  The color reminds me of a wine connoisseur, sipping on a glass of merlot.  Okay, maybe not exactly like that.  It actually reminds me of wearing my little velvet Christmas dress as a little girl, kind of like this one:

I think I need more velvet in my wardrobe.  Olivia Harrison's new look inspires me so much!

Her soft velvet with badass heals make me want to jam out to a Silver by Nirvana.

I'm also inspired by Elle's "Sequin Collar & Velvet Circle Skirt" look:

The lace top+velvet skirt=perfection!  Speaking of Elle, I just ordered some new Palladium shoes.  The same ones she is wearing in this look:

I don't think you understand how insanely stoked on life I am right now.  These shoes are going to be the best!

Graveyard Ruffles

Listening to this 8tracks mix and writing a blog post is most definitely the highlight of my day.  Adam took these pictures (of me) while I edited them.  Team effort!

Shirt: Vintage JC Penney-thrifted
Dress: Kimchi Blue-thrifted
Booties: thrifted

All of these items were such lucky finds at THE SAME thrift store.  My favorite is definitely the shirt.  It’s a vintage JC Penney blouse.  It’s so much fun to wear because it has little sweatshirt-like ties at the neck.  Although, I usually play with them too much and they distract me from doing normal person things.  The whole “gothic choker-ruffles feel” is really getting to me at the moment.  I love wearing my shirts like this!
At first, this dress reminded me of a figure skater outfit, but then I realized it was way rad.  I know you can’t see it, but it dips down in the back and looks so cool.  The blue outline is so eye catching, and sets it apart from other dresses of its sort.

My second favorite part of this little outfit we have here, is the earrings.  I was rummaging around my mom’s jewelry box when I stumbled upon these fabulous treasures.  She keeps telling me the polish them because the “tarnish looks tacky”.  I completely disagree.  The tarnish makes them look even amazing-er.  Go old silver!
Also, this cemetery is the oldest graveyard in town and by far my favorite place to take photos.  It is where all of the miners were buried and they have the craziest stories.  All of the headstones are absolutely stunning, plus this place is secluded.  I hope it’s not bad luck to hang out at a graveyard, because, well, I’m screwed.

Twiggy.

All photos by Adam.

Shirt: Cotton On
Skirt: Tart
Headpiece: Found on the side of a street...

There is such a story behind this post name.  It's referencing that thingamabob on my noggin.  Anywho, I was walking home with Adam a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon this lovely treasure.  Being myself, I stopped in my tracks, picked up this beauty, and popped it upon my head.  Let's say I received more than a few strange looks from people.  Also, yes, I do know this is a wreath.

I'm becoming so inspired by all of the blooming angiosperms.  The leaves are so green and the sun shines through them perfectly! I love summer so much.  And I'm just loving all the colors that are everywhere.  My inspiration?...

P.S. I'm convinced I look like a deer in picture number five.  Tell me if I'm wrong, but I am completely convinced.

Hey, It's Summer

Shirt: Thrifted
Shorts: H&M
Feather earring: Handmade

Good morning everybody.  Guess what! It's finally summertime(:  School got out a few days ago, and I'm so ecstatic.  This shirt is just a lucky find I acquired at a local thrift store called Pibb's Exchange.  I got these shorts at H&M a while ago, and they are amazing.  They are suede, and whenever I wear them, I can't keep my hands off myself.  Okay, that's a bit creepy.  Also, did you notice my bare feet?!  Yeah, I don't like to wear shoes in the summertime all that often.  Let's just say my feet aren't the purdiest things you have ever seen.

I just have to say that I love these photos.  The sun spots/overexposure makes them feel so summery(:  I'm also so excited about the daisies that are blooming in our garden.  Daisies remind me of being a little girl prancing around in the flowers.  Although, when I was a young one, I preferred snakes and dirt.  But still, I love these daisies!

Happy sunday!

Pride 2012!

Blouse & Shorts: Thrifted
Toms: Local boutique

My adventures at SLC Pride 2012 were outstanding!  I wore my awesome new blouse which was probably one of the best finds ever.  My mom says it looks like a "grandma shirt" but hey, maybe I like to look like a grandma!  My Toms are about two years old now, and have gone through so much...so please disregard the paint all over them.  And the flag adds a little extra flair, eh?  Check out my look here.

I went to the festival with my friends Adam, Alice, and Maddie.  Everyone was so, so, SO nice.  Did I say fantastic people watching?  Anyway, I got some rad pictures, and I overcame my fear of asking permission to take peoples' photographs.  Woooohooo!

Anyway, these pictures will speak for themselves!
